Sarah and Shaun bought Mike Cookson Cycles in January of this year, forming Cookson Cycles, with Mike retiring after 30 years of hardwork building a great business. The store specialises in Trek, Lapierre, Marin and Wilier bikes, with a huge range of parts, clothing and accessories.

Sarah joined the business new to the cycle industry, having spent a number of years in private equity backed global manufacturing industries. After years of travelling she decided to give it up and go on a bike to work instead of a plane. Sarah rides a Trek Fuel EX8 and a Trek 6.5 Madone road bike.

Shaun had worked at Mike Cookson Cycles for 12 years before taking the leap into ownership with Sarah. Shaun is the main man when it comes to sales, and is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to specifications of the bikes. Shaun rides a Trek 8500, Remedy 9, Whyte E120 Team, Trek 1.9 Road bike. Shaun races for the Whyte team, and is often seen at most of the events. Martyn is the longest serving member of the team having worked here for 13 years, with a wealth of experience building and repairing bikes. Martyn rides a Lapierre Spicy 516.



Chris also works in the maintenance team with 10years experience. Chris is our resident BMX expert and has competed in many BMX events. He also rides a Remedy 9, Lapierre Pro Race 500, Charge jump bike, Trek 1.9 Road Bike and a Hoffman BMX.

Alex has also worked here for around 12years, and is the font of all knowledge when it comes to clothes and accessories. He is also very experienced and helpful when needing advice on which bike to buy. Alex has toured around Europe on his Trek 6500. He currently rides a Trek 9.9 carbon hardtail and a Trek 5500 carbon road bike.

Seb has worked here for 6 years and is experienced in both the workshop and sales. Seb rides a Marin Palisades Trail.

Gareth is the newest member to the Cookson team and rides a NS Central 1 jump bike.
