Buying Guide
One of the most common questions we’re getting right now is simple:
If the PR Carbon Pro has the same motor and similar spec… why pay more for the PX?
On paper, the Amflow PR Carbon Pro looks like incredible value — and it is. But the Amflow PX is not just a more expensive version of the same bike. It’s a different platform, built around performance, weight and next-generation battery technology.
So it’s easy to assume they should feel the same on the trail — but they don’t.
The biggest mistake is comparing these bikes purely on components.
The PR Carbon Pro is built around a removable 800Wh battery platform, prioritising range and convenience.
The PX is built around a lighter, high-density 700Wh battery system, designed to maximise performance, reduce weight and fully unlock the motor.
PR = value, range and practicality
One of the biggest misconceptions right now is that the PR Carbon Pro is simply the new version of the previous PL platform — but that’s not the case.
The PX platform has evolved from the original high-performance PL concept, continuing to push lightweight design, integrated battery technology and maximum performance.
The PR range has been introduced as a new, more accessible platform, designed to offer outstanding value, a removable battery system and a lower price point.
So while the PR Carbon Pro looks similar on paper, it is not replacing the PX — it is sitting alongside it as a different option in the lineup.
That ~2kg difference is makes a big difference on the trail.
The PR Pro feels more planted and stable, but not as lively or reactive.
This is the biggest difference — and the one most riders overlook.
The PR has more capacity, but the PX has more advanced battery technology.
This is what allows the PX to feel more responsive and maintain stronger performance across all modes — not just short bursts.

Both bikes use the M2S motor, but they don’t perform identically.
This is due to the battery system — not the motor itself.

This makes a real difference if you ride regularly or want quick turnarounds between rides.
The PR is still a great-looking bike, but the PX feels like a more advanced, purpose-built platform.
It depends what you value.
