While the Amflow PX and PR models have gained attention for bringing the Avinox drive system to the mountain bike world, the new TL Carbon takes a very different approach. Rather than focusing solely on performance riding, the TL Carbon has been designed to be a genuinely versatile e-bike capable of handling almost any journey.
The TL Carbon combines a lightweight carbon frame, full FOX suspension, removable 800Wh battery and practical everyday features into a package that sits somewhere between a trekking bike, family bike, commuter and adventure bike.
Amflow describes the TL Carbon as an SUV e-bike, and it's easy to see why. The bike arrives equipped with mudguards, lights, rear rack, kickstand and pedals, making it ready to ride straight out of the box.
Unlike many premium e-bikes that require expensive accessories to be added later, the TL Carbon comes fully equipped from the factory.
Amflow's vision for the TL Carbon is simple: one bike capable of replacing several bikes in your garage.
Remove the luggage and accessories and you have a capable lightweight trail bike. Add racks, bags or a trailer and it becomes a highly practical transport solution for everyday life.
One of the most impressive figures is the claimed weight. The carbon frame weighs just 2.9kg, helping the complete bike achieve a claimed weight from only 22.6kg without accessories fitted.
Even in standard ride-ready trim with rack, lights, mudguards and pedals fitted, the TL Carbon remains remarkably light for a bike in this category.
At the heart of the TL Carbon is the Avinox M2 Drive Unit, delivering up to 125Nm peak torque and 1100W peak power. Combined with Avinox's advanced traction control technology, the system is designed to provide smooth and confident assistance whether you're climbing steep hills, carrying luggage or riding on loose surfaces.
The removable 800Wh battery can also be paired with the optional 480Wh range extender, increasing total battery capacity to an impressive 1280Wh.
Under ideal test conditions, Amflow claims a range of up to 172km from a single charge.
Beyond the motor and battery, the TL Carbon benefits from the latest Avinox technology ecosystem.
These features help make the TL Carbon one of the smartest e-bikes currently available at this price point.
The TL Carbon has clearly been designed with real-world riding in mind.
Whether you're carrying shopping, heading off on a bikepacking trip or towing a child trailer, the TL Carbon has been designed to adapt to a wide range of uses.
With a carrying capacity approaching many cargo bikes, it offers exceptional versatility without the size, weight and bulk normally associated with dedicated cargo models.
Suspension duties are handled by a FOX AWL Sport fork with 120mm travel and a FOX FLOAT Rhythm rear shock delivering 105mm rear wheel travel.
The bike also features TRP E.A.S.I. electronic shifting integrated with the Avinox system, allowing the motor to reduce torque during gear changes for smoother shifting under load.
While the PX and PR have attracted plenty of attention from mountain bikers, the TL Carbon arguably targets a much larger audience.
Commuters, leisure riders, touring cyclists, caravan owners, motorhome users and families are all likely to see the appeal of a lightweight, full-suspension carbon e-bike with huge carrying capacity and impressive battery range.
At a UK retail price of just £3,199, the TL Carbon looks set to disrupt the SUV e-bike category. Carbon frame, full FOX suspension, removable 800Wh battery, electronic shifting, integrated accessories and the powerful Avinox M2 drive system would typically command a significantly higher price from many established brands.
