Nukeproof Scout Race
The Nukeproof Scout Race is a trail hardtail for riders who want to sharpen their skills and enjoy the direct feel of an aluminium mountain bike. Whether you are finding new lines on familiar singletrack or spending an afternoon practising corners with friends, the Scout encourages you to get involved in every part of the ride.
A 140mm RockShox Psylo Silver RC fork helps absorb rough ground at the front, while the rigid rear end gives clear feedback from the trail. SRAM mechanical 12-speed gearing and an 11-50T cassette provide a wide spread of gears for climbs and faster sections. SRAM DB4 brakes handle stopping duties, with Schwalbe Magic Mary 2.4-inch Standard Soft tyres completing the trail-focused package.
The Scout rewards smooth riding, good line choice and an active stance. Its geometry is designed to balance climbing efficiency with descending stability, giving you a platform for developing your technique as the trails become more demanding.
Choose your frame and wheel size
Scout 275 uses 27.5-inch wheels and comes in Small and Medium. Scout 290 uses 29-inch wheels and comes in Medium, Large, XL and XXL. Medium is available in both wheel sizes, so check the full size option when ordering. The 27.5-inch version suits riders who favour easy changes of direction, while the 29-inch version offers the rollover benefit of larger wheels.
An X-Fusion Manic LC dropper post lets you lower the saddle for descents, with 125mm drop on Small, 150mm on either Medium version and 170mm on Large through XXL. Nukeproof Neutron handlebars are also matched to size: 780mm wide on Small and Medium, and 800mm on Large through XXL.
For riders who enjoy choosing their lines, carrying speed through corners and making the most of every trail feature, the Scout Race puts the appeal of a hardtail front and centre.

Bike Build & Delivery
All our bikes are built in store and thoroughly inspected, before carefully packing back up for shipping. If you have selected our white glove delivery service, the bike will come to you ready to ride and the driver can help with some basic bike setup (Saddle height and suspension) at your doorstep. Please be aware if you haven’t selected our white glove delivery service the bike will require some assembly, which we recommend be carried out by an experienced mechanic.
