Trek Marlin 2019 Mountain Bikes
Wow! Trek have really pulled out all the stops on their entry level Trek Marlin MTB’s for 2019! New super sharp frame, taking design cues off their premium full suspension bikes, internal cable routing, stealth dropper compatibility and the same amazing colour choices that are shared across the current Trek 2019 range of bikes – these are just some of the highlights of the new Trek Marlin 2019 range of bikes.
There’s plenty of competition for entry-level mountain bikes, so Trek have updated the their fantastic Marlin range to help you stay ahead of the game! The new Trek Marlin still hits the same value price points, but delivers the features and performance of a much more expensive bike. It starts with a new, faster Alpha Silver Aluminium frame that’s very close in geometry and weight to its racier sibling, X-Caliber. The new frame features sleek tube shapes and clean internal routing for all cables and hoses including both derailleurs and rear brake.
It’s also dropper post compatible with dedicated internal routing ports and an updated 31.6mm seat tube. It still has pannier rack mounts and now it also has an integrated kickstand mount on the chain stay. Trek Marlin 2019 is easy to accessorise and is ready to take on any all-terrain adventure, whether that means exploring the local trails or navigating the urban jungle. It’s just as at home on pot-holed city streets as it is on the dirt.
Trek Marlin 2019 still adheres to their Smart Wheel Size philosophy and with 7 frame sizes, there’s a Marlin for anyone, at any height. The 13.5 and 15.5 sizes in all models get short-reach brake levers and narrower handlebars to make it easier for riders with smaller hands to stay in control. While most sizes feature 100mm of front suspension travel, the 13.5 has a shorter 80mm fork that gives smaller riders a better fit for a more efficient pedaling position. No other bike at this price point fits so many riders so well.
Trek have an all new women’s line up and replaced the Skye, the entry-level Women’s hardtail, with new Marlin WSD model’s. These bikes have a lower standover height on the 13.5 and 15.5, but otherwise share the same performance spec and geometry as the main line. These models offer an alternate colour choice, plus a women’s specific saddle and narrower handlebar for a better fit right from the start.
Every Trek Marlin 2019 packs a ton of value and performance into each price point with carefully-chosen spec. From reliable drivetrains to powerful disc brakes, and even suspension lockouts on some models, you know you’re giving your customer the most performance and versatility for the money.
