Trek Rail 2020
The wait is finally over, we can reveal the hottest e-bike that we have all been waiting for the new Trek Rail 2020 – fitted with the new ultra compact Bosch motor!
The all-new Trek Rail is the e-MTB for riders who consider the trail a second home – just think of this bike being an electric Trek Slash! It shreds just as hard as its non-electric brethren, then powers you right back up the mountain.
Available with aluminium and carbon models, every Trek Rail model has Bosch’s new ultra compact and lightweight Performance Line CX motor, 150mm of rear travel suspension, 29″ wheels and trail-worthy tech that will help you push your limits right to the edge.
Bosch brings a new standard of power and performance to the trail with the all-new Performance Line CX drive system. It’s over a kilo lighter than the previous Performance CX Motor, nearly 50% smaller and it delivers more range and less drag than ever before.
Going down or up, the Trek Rail rips trails like the trail bike it is, based on Trek Slash geometry this bike will be capable to handle the most aggressive terrain. Every model is built with a 160 mm fork and 150 mm of rear wheel travel and select models have a RE:aktiv with Thru Shaft shock that gives you more capability to tear through rough terrain.
Compared to the Trek Powerfly FS this bike has had some big changes to the geometry:
- 27mm Shorter chainstays due to the new compact motor.
- Reach has increased by 11 to 27 mm depending on the frame size.
- Head angle has become slacker to 64.5°
- 19mm lower bottom bracket.
All with the mino link in the lower position.
Trek Rail is backed by Trek’s decades-long trail bike heritage. It features the same proven frame and suspension tech as Trek’s most capable non-electric bikes, including Active Braking Pivot (ABP), Mino Link adjustable geometry and Straight Shot down tube with Knock Block.
Trek’s Removable Integrated Battery (RIB) system integrates the battery into the frame for protection and gives you easy, tool-free, drive-side access. Turn the key and the battery pops out. It’s that simple.
6 Models to choose from, 3 alloy and 3 carbon.
