Our Payment Service Provider is Sage Pay (formerly Protx) – the largest independent payment service provider (PSP) in the UK and Ireland. Sage Pay provides a secure payment gateway (Level 1 PCI DSS), processing payments for thousands of online businesses, including ours. It is Sage Pay’s utmost priority to ensure that transaction data is handled in a safe and secure way.

Sage Pay uses a range secure methods such as fraud screening, I.P address blocking and 3D secure. Once on the Sage Pay systems, all sensitive data is secured using the same internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards.

Sage Pay is PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliant to the highest level and maintains regular security audits. They are also regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure that their systems are impenetrable.

Sage Pay is an active member of the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) that defines card industry global regulation.

In addition, you know that your session is in a secure encrypted environment when you see https:// in the web address, and/or when you see the locked padlock symbol alongside the URL.

Returns Policy

You must contact us prior to making any returns.  In accordance with the distance selling regulations, we will accept all purchases back within 14 days of delivery.  Goods must be returned unused in original packaging and in a saleable condition if a refund is required. Distance selling regulations dictates that the return of your product is at your cost therefore any carriage costs will not be refunded.  If the goods need to be returned because of a mistake by Cookson Cycles Limited or for a repair under the manufacturers warranty we will arrange to collect and redeliver the item at our own expense. Goods returned with a manufacturers fault will be sent back for inspection. Goods returned within 14 days will be inspected before any monies are refunded. Goods returned after 14 days will be repaired or replaced at the manufacturers discretion however we will refund or exchange a product if it is returned unused and within 14 days of purchase, or, if the products displays a manufacturing fault within 28 days of the guarantee validation period.  The product will be repaired free of charge if it displays a manufacturing fault after 28 days and within the guarantee period.  For details on individual product guarantees please contact us.

You will be charged for spares and repairs if the product has been damaged accidentally, through misuse, fair wear and tear or undue force within the guarantee period.

In circumstances where a replacement item is required before we received the faulty item back, it will be charged at full price until the faulty item is received by us.

The manufacturer warranties only cover customers based in the UK and Ireland. Whilst we will endeavor to support our overseas customers in the event of a product fault or defect, we can only supply spare parts and do not have the facility to collect items for repair from overseas.

Additional Information

1. Any returns items which are deemed as not defective and not our error, retuned under distance buying regulations, will be subject to the customer paying the return cost for postage & packing.

2. Deposits are non-refundable.

3. Cancelled special orders may be subject to a 40% re-stocking charge.

Delivery

We will ship your order as soon as possible after receipt of payment but please allow up to 10 working days for delivery.  Your order will be processed within 24 hours and in the unlikely event that we are unable to deliver within 10 working days you will be contacted by one of the customer support team with details of the expected delivery date. If at this point you are unhappy with an alternative date you may cancel the order and any payment received will be fully refunded.

Delivery of small items is by Royal Mail first class.  Larger items are delivered by courier.  If you are unavailable when the courier attempts to deliver your goods, a second attempt will be made (usually the following day), they may leave you a card with details on how to rearrange delivery.  If the second attempt fails and the items are returned to us you may be charged an administration fee of £10 plus any additional carriage costs.

Order Acceptance

After placing an order you will receive an email from us acknowledging that we have received your order for the goods and the delivery services you have requires. This does not mean that your order has been accepted. All orders are subject to acceptance by use and will confirm acceptance by sending an email that confirms dispatch by the deliver service provider. The contract between you and Cookson Cycles Limited will only be formed when we send you this dispatch confirmation.

The contract will relate only to those goods whose dispatch we have confirmed in the dispatch confirmation.

We reserve the right to cancel the contract between us if:

We have insufficient stock to deliver the Goods you have ordered;

The delivery service provider does not deliver to your area.

One or more of the Goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information received by us from our suppliers; or

We have reason to suspect that there is a risk of a fraudulent transaction.

If we do cancel your contract, we will notify you by email and will re-credit to your account any sum deducted by us (in respect of Goods provided by us, and delivery services provided by the delivery service provider (unless amounts in respect of delivery are refunded directly by the delivery service provider)), from your debit or credit card as soon as possible but in any event within 30 days of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
